Child Protection Services Where can I find information about child welfare services?Through the authority of the Child Protection Act and the administration of the Provincial Director of Child Welfare, child welfare services are offered across the Province. Services include receipt of child protection referrals, screening, investigation, services to reduce and eliminate the child protection concerns, services for children in care, foster care and other residential resource services, adoption and related services, i.e. birth parent counselling, referral to provincial post-adoption services.
