Perinatal Care Services

Where can I find information about perinatal services during pregnancy and the time after birth?

The goal of the Perinatal Care Services is to provide the best possible health during pregnancy and birth. Services include:

  • Prenatal Assessment: a meeting with a Public Health Nurse to discuss health during pregnancy
  • Prenatal education: individual counselling with a Public Health Nurse or group classes
  • Information for stopping smoking
  • Home visits to new mothers and babies for health checks and breastfeeding support
