Mi'kmaq Family Resource Centre
The Mi'Kmaq Family Resource Center is sponsored by Aboriginal Women Association of Prince Edward Island and is funded by the Community Action Program for Children and the Canada Prenatal Nutrition Program through Health Canada, in agreement with the Province of Prince Edward Island.and fun times. Help with transportation and on site childcare is available for many of our programs.
Feel free to drop in, have a visit and talk with Sharon and / or Irene about the programs being offered. This Centre is YOUR CENTRE and your support and input would be greatly appreciated.

The Mi'kmaq Family Resource Centre is funded by the

Community Kitchen
In this program, families meet monthly to plan and prepare meals. Parents have the opportunity to socialize and to learn about healthy food preparation and budgeting.
Share and Learn Parent Group
Parents meet to talk about their experiences and about topics such as fetal alcohol syndrome, stress management and money management.
Moms and Tots Drop-in Play
The goal of this program is to help our children become
healthy, well-rounded people by socializing, learning and playing in a stimulating environment with other children and adults. The activities are planned around specific themes relating to Health, Nature and Native Culture. A light snack is provided.
