InfoPEIHOME / HEALTH / PHYSICAL HEALTH / Allergy And Environmental Illness Support Group Inc. The Allergy and Environmental Illness Group Inc., was organized in 1985. There is an existing constitution, which the group uses as its foundation for assisting individuals with Allergies or Multiple Chemical Sensitivities (MCS). Formally called Environmental Illness, MCS is the newer definition of the illness. Today, these two definitions are used interchangeably. It is our purpose to provide individuals support and information regarding Allergies and Multiple Chemical Sensitivities. The Allergy and Environmental Illness Group Inc., maintains a list of specialists who deal with specific types of allergies or chemical sensitivity. On Prince Edward Island there are no such specialists available. Community Awareness Program The Allergy and Environmental Illness Group is concerned about our children and their personal health. We believe there is a need to create awareness with parents and teachers and the community at large in regards to children's health. We are concerned about our water quality and the amount of pesticides being used in our environment that can cause developmental problems in our precious children.
