Canadian Hemophilia Society - PEI Chapter

The PEI Hemophilia Society is the provincial chapter of the Canadian Hemophilia Society based out of Montreal and with its own national website.

Hemophilia is a hereditary bleeding disorder ranging from mild to severe and is characterized by a lack of clotting agent in the blood. With advances in modern treatment, most persons with hemophila are able to live full and productive lives due to the development of advanced blood products and proper health care.

The PEI Hemophilia Society is a non profit organization dedicated to assisting those persons with hemophilia and related bleeding disorders.

Provides support to families, educational materials, advocacy on behalf of hemophiliacs and ensures that treatment for hemophilia is as good as possible. The Society nationally is dedicated to the treatment and the cure of hemophilia, and related bleeding disorders and complications of these disorders (including H.I.V. infection).
