Long Term Care Facility Dental Program Where can I find information about the Long Term Care Facility Dental Program?Residents of Long Term Care facilities are screened by a Dental Public Health dentist and hygienist for signs of pain or pathology, and to assess for simple preventive procedures that can improve quality of life. Dental hygienists follow-up by providing preventive services such as cleaning and labelling of dentures, scaling, application of fluoride varnish, etc. Residents with dental treatment needs are referred to private practice dentists.
