InfoPEIHOME / HEALTH / FAMILY VIOLENCE / Next Step Housing (Rainbow Residence) Next Step Housing offers safe and supportive housing for women and children who wish to make a change in their lives. It also provides the women an opportunity to think about and plan for a future without fear. Confidential one-to-one consulting, crisis support, referrals to other social agencies, legal information, support groups, public education, library of information available to the public. A wealth of materials (library of information) is available at the Regional Service Centre Family Resource Centre. Pamphlets are available at hospitals and municipal offices. Rainbow Residence is referred to as "Second Stage Housing". Other services offered include; crisis support, legal information, consulting, and life skills. Women are referred to other social agencies and support groups. What we offer is supportive, comfortable housing, 2 - three bedroom units, cooperative living environment, 9-12 months term of residency, rent geared to income, violence free environment.
