Family Violence , Eastern P.E.I. and Queen

Provides education to the public on Family Violence in hope that it will help prevent it. We also lobby government on behalf of victims of Family Violence, by support for victims of family violence and their families. Provides education to communities and advocacy. Group work with victims of violence.

Offers education, lobbying of government, school programs and manage a second-stage house.

Will do presentations in violence and the effects, publications, pamphlets and resource material.

There is now a full-time outreach worker in Eastern PEI, employed by the committee. Gwyn Davies takes referrals from Anderson House and various other sources as well as self referrals. She works with individuals and families and provides information, support and advocacy as needed by clients, makes presentations to groups and reports to the committee "Family Violence Prevention, Eastern PEI"
