Clubhouse Program Consumer and Family Support

The clubhouse program was established for individuals experiencing persistent mental health problems. Members of the clubhouses have the opportunity to become involved in residential, employment and pre-vocational and social recreational programs. There are three clubhouses on PEI.

  • Fitzroy Centre, Charlottetown (902) 566-5111 - Bev Thompson
  • West Prince Clubhouse, Alberton (902) 853-3871 - Les Wagner
  • Notre Dame Place Clubhouse, Summerside (902) 888-2237 - Pat Winchester.
Clubhouses are a "supportive community" that offers a comprehensive approach to helping its members grow more independent and lead productive lives. Participants are members of a club, not patients or clients. Members may learn or regain skills necessary to live a productive and empowering life. Confidence and self-respect is gained through contributing in every aspect of the club.

Through the work-ordered day program, members work side by side with staff, performing all the necessary tasks in the day-to-day operations of the clubhouse. The clubhouse focuses on members' strengths, talents, and abilities, regardless of their level of functioning.
