School Milk Program

The PEI School Milk Foundation Ltd. is a non profit organization that ensures that milk is provided, with white milk at the lowest possible prices, to schools in grades 1-12 inclusive. It also provides materials and programs for nutrition education to teachers.

Starting September 2001, the School Milk Program will extend to kindergartens registered with P.E.I. Department of Education.

Offerings to schools include:

  • Club Moo to grades K-6, which combines education with milk drinking incentives,
  • Nutrition education displays (English and French versions) to borrow,
  • Nutritionist guest speaker for classrooms,
  • MilkSport program for school athletics,
  • Publications for parents,
  • Nutrition publications to home economics teachers,
  • Moo-sletters to elementary grade teachers.
