Preventive Orthodontic Program Where can I find information about the Preventive Orthodontic Program?Interceptive, preventive, and simple corrective orthodontic services are provided by Dental Public Health staff dentists, using simple, removable orthodontic appliances. Parents are responsible for the laboratory cost of the orthodontic appliances. Children are referred to the orthodontic clinic by private dentists or Dental Public Health clinics. Children with orthodontic problems that are too complex for simple appliances are referred to private orthodontists, at their parent's expense.
