ACOA's Performance Report to Parliament 2002

Tabling in Parliament of ACOA's 2002 Performance Report

On November 7, 2002, the President of the Treasury Board tabled in Parliament ACOA's 2002 Performance Report. The Report provides performance information on commitments made by the Agency in its 2001-2002 Report on Plans and Priorities.

The performance information focuses on the Agency's key priorities. These priorities focus on measures to improve growth and competitiveness of Atlantic SMEs; increased economic opportunities for rural Atlantic Canada; and greater economic activity through national policies sensitive to the needs of the region. The Report also provides information on other aspects of ACOA's 2001-2002 performance, including the impact of ACOA programming on the survival rate for ACOA-assisted firms.

Highlighted throughout the Report are areas in which the Agency contributed to government-wide priorities such as investments in innovation and Skills and Learning.

Detailed financial information on the Agency's 2001-2002 expenditures is also presented.
