The Agri-Food Industry in Atlantic Canada: Recognition and Development is the latest in a series of research reports produced by the Canadian Institute for Research on Regional Development (CIRRD) with financial assistance from the Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency’s (ACOA) Atlantic Policy Research Initiative.
The report provides a comprehensive economic analysis of the agri-food industry in Atlantic Canada. It outlines the significant progress the industry has made over the past decade in increasing its productivity and penetrating international markets, but it also stresses that challenges for the industry remain in accessing capital, in succession planning, skills development and innovation.
