The program is 100% funded by the Government of Prince Edward Island and administered by the Employment Development Agency.

Students hired to fill positions of approved projects must be registered with the Central Jobs Registry. Forms Jobs For Youth Program: Private Sector Employers Application If you are a private sector employer and would like to create new employment opportunities for Island students, you may submit your application directly to the staff at the Employment Development Agency. If your application is approved, you will be reimbursed 50% of the hourly wage up to a maximum of $3.72 per hour for up to 40 hours a week for eight to twelve weeks.
