The FedNor International Business Centre (IBC) for Trade and Tourism is committed to making a positive difference in the global competitiveness of Northern Ontario. Working in partnership with community stakeholders and business leaders, the FedNor IBC develops and implements key strategies to strengthen linking to international markets and promote greater opportunities for the North.

The centre opened its doors on September 17, 2003, recognizing that trade and tourism increase the wealth of the region by bringing in new money in return for the purchase of local goods and services.
