Employment Prospects - Prince Edward Island
The following lists provide information on the short term employment potential of the related occupations, effective January 2006. These lists should be used in conjunction with the Job Descriptions which has been developed for each of the occupations.
Employment Potential Definition
This indicator refers to the short term local labour market outlook for employment opportunities in the labour market based on the analysis of the "events"; captured for the occupation and other relevant supply and demand factors.
- Good Employment Potential:
In the short term, there will be employment opportunities in the local labour market for skilled clients in this occupation and the short term outlook (3-6 months) for employment is good.
- Limited Employment Potential:
In the short term, there will be few, if any, employment opportunities in the local labour market for skilled clients in this occupation and the short term outlook (3-6 months) for employment is limited.
Frequency of Updates:
Because this is a short term indicator, the employment potential for the various occupations will be reviewed and the indicator updated on a monthly basis. A new list will be issued each month.
