Provincial Land

The Government of Prince Edward Island land base contains lands suitable for agricultural use. These lands are leased to local farmers for just that purpose.

Less frequently granted are leases for commercial operations.

Licenses - Short term interest in Provincial Lands can be granted at the discretion of the Minister. Individuals or groups can apply for a license on a particular property for short term access across a particular property or to hold a special event on a property, etc. Longer term licenses are also available for infrastructure location such as trails boardwalks, etc.
