Choice and Opportunity - Formative Evaluation - Phase I - Final Report - Prince Edward Island - July 1996
    Information specific to: Canada
Choice and Opportunity - Formative Evaluation - Phase I - Final Report - Prince Edward Island Choice and Opportunity is a partnership initiative of the Federal Department of Human Resources Development Canada, the P.E.I. and Canadian Associations for Community Living and the P.E.I. Provincial Government. The provincial government is represented by the Department of Health and Social Services, the Regional Health Authorities and the Health and Community Services Agency. The project is directed at individuals with intellectual disabilities and is attempting to re-design existing programs and delivery mechanisms while at the same time providing more opportunity for individuals to make decisions about how they want to receive supports and services. The project is also assisting generic agencies and community organizations to be inclusive of persons with an intellectual disability. Choice and Opportunity is one of a number of joint federal-provincial projects to be undertaken under the Federal Government's Strategic Initiatives Program.
