and non-funded support. Program investments of over $300 million have led to
an infusion of almost a billion dollars into the Aboriginal private sector and

these results allow the program and its clients to build on this foundation
and embark on New Directions for Growth.

Worlds International Institute
Four Worlds International Institute for Human and Community Development, founded
by Indigenous Elders of North America almost 20 years ago, is a not-for profit
organization that has initiated a variety of projects, programs and prototype
models to promote sustainable human prosperity and well-being for Indigenous
people, in North America and around the world. In 1995 Four Directions International
was established as Four Worlds’ economic development arm.

to Federal Initiatives for Urban Aboriginal People
This guide allows urban Aboriginal people, organizations and businesses to have
information about the many initiatives currently being offered by the federal
government and how to access specific programs and services. It is broken down
into subject matters such as arts and culture, economic development, education,
training and employment, health, housing, justice and policing and social services.

Wawatay
Native Communications Society
Wawatay Native Communications Society, based in Sioux Lookout, Ontario operates
the Wawatay Radio Network, publishes the Wawatay News newspaper, and produces
Native television programming. It serves over 75 communities in the Nishnawbe-Aski
Nation and Treaty #3 territories of northern Ontario.
