Only the following migratory game birds may be killed: ducks, geese, wooduck, and Wilson or common snipe. Both a provincial hunting licence and a Migratory Bird Hunting Permit are required. You must also possess a Firearm Safety Certificate. Seasons and bag limits are established by the federal government. A Migratory Bird Hunting Permit can be obtained at your local post office or most authorized vendors. The cost is $17 plus GST.
