Trapping Licences

Where can I apply for a Trapping Licence?

You must acquire a trappers licence in order to trap certain wildlife in PEI. You cannot obtain this licence unless you first take the Trapper Education Course.

Licence Fees

Resident Trapping Licence (16 years and older) $10
Junior Trapping Permit (15 years and under) $5
Permit to Hunt Raccoon at Night $7
Resident Fur Dealer's Licence $25 (must be purchased from the Department of Environment, Energy and Forestry directly)
Non-Resident Fur Dealer's Licence $175 (must be purchased from the Department of Environment, Energy and Forestry directly)

(A resident is a person who has resided in PEI for a period of six months prior to purchasing a trapping licence).
