Developments in Labour Legislation in Canada

Highlights of Major Developments in Labour Legislation

This report is prepared annually for the September Meeting of the Canadian Association of Administrators of Labour Legislation (CAALL). It summarizes significant changes adopted or proposed in the previous 12 months by the various Canadian jurisdictions in the fields of minimum employment standards, industrial relations (i.e. collective bargaining) and occupational health and safety.

Following are reports on significant legislative changes in Canada having a bearing on minimum employment standards, industrial relations, occupational safety and health, and other labour-related subjects, which have been adopted or proposed since the last issue of "Highlights of Major Developments in Labour Legislation" (see above).
