Intelligence

The intelligence section is responsible for targeting suspected violators and conducting in-depth probes into violations under Canadian Environmental Protection Act, 1999, (CEPA, 99) and the Fisheries Act. As such, it provides support to both inspections and investigations sections. The intelligence function involves conducting analysis, verifying trends, establishing pattern identification and developing plans on operational, tactical and strategic enforcement issues within the region of Ontario. The Intelligence section is the main point of contact with other intelligence based agencies, associations and organizations and works closely with other law enforcement agencies that have a similar mandate.
