Appendix 4

Introduction

Attached are five documents, which will guide project applicants:

  1. “Cost Category Structure” (Annex A May 23, 2006), which outlines the structure that the budget portion of proposals and applications must follow;

  2. “Eligible Cost Listing” (Annex B May 23, 2006), which provides examples of cost items by cost category structure;

  3. Description of the “Costing Options” available to applicants of Employment Assistance Service projects and information on how to apply and submit a proposal using the costing options (Annex C);

  4. “Budget Template for Project Proposals” (Annex D) to be used for the budget portion of such a proposal; and

  5. “Criteria for a Study Submitted for an Organization Specific Flat Percentage Rate” (Annex E) to guide organizations wishing to submit a study for the department to assess for costing option #2.

These documents will be available to potential applicants on the Service Canada Internet site for community partners.
