Canada Study Grant for Students with Dependants
The Canada Study Grant for Students with Dependants (PDF format - 652 KB) is awarded to students who have dependants and who demonstrate financial need exceeding the established amounts in their combined federal and provincial loans.

Eligibility Information
Candidates must meet the following criteria:
- be enrolled in studies at a designated education institution
- have assessed need in excess of $275 per week of study (for full-time students)
OR - have assessed need in excess of the maximum amount of the Canada Study Grant for High-need Part-time Students ($1,200 per loan year) and the maximum amount of the Canada Student Loan for part-time students ($4,000)
- other criteria may apply
Application Information
- Eligibility for this grant is determined during the assessment of the student loan application.
- Loan application forms are available from provincial and territorial student assistance offices, and at financial aid offices in educational institutions.
