• The mandate of the Canadian Centre for Emergency Preparedness (CCEP) is to help communities, governments, and private business to prepare for, prevent, respond to, and recover from human-made or natural disasters.
• The Canadian Centre for Occupational Health and Safety (CCOHS) promotes a safe and healthy working environment by providing information and advice about occupational health and safety. As well, the Guidelines for Industry Emergency Response Contingency Plans can be accessed from the CCOHS site.

• The Canadian Fertilizer Institute's On Guard for Canada Program encourages fertilizer manufacturers, distributors, and retailers to guard against criminal misuse of their products.

The user can view the titles of Canadian, North American, and international documents. The accessibility of a complete document is restricted to members only; however, users can register on-line for a fee.
• The Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) is Canada's hazard communication standard. The key elements of the system are cautionary labelling of containers of WHMIS "controlled products," the provision of material safety data sheets, and worker education programs.
