Festivals and Events Assistance

Where can I find information about the Festivals and Events Assistance Program?

A "festival or event" is an on-going annual activity which promotes tourism by attracting visitors to the Island and encourages their participation in such activities. The festival or event must clearly and specifically target off-Island participants and spectators. It must have a broader appeal than just Island residents and participants. The Festival/Event should reflect a quality PEI cultural experience and be environmentally sensitive.

NOTE: Regional, national and international one-time events which have the potential of a major impact in bringing visitors to PEI but do not fall within the conditions of this program, may meet the criteria of the Tourism PEI Investment Fund.

Please read the application guidelines to find out more about the eligibility requirements and the assistance available. The application deadline is April 1, 2006. Applications received after April 1 will be considered only if unallocated funds remain.
