|
The National Audit Program has established a working group that includes
representation from the various branches. The working group will identify
the possible options available to integrate safety data collection into
the inspection and audit program as well as develop criteria to analyze
the information.

Develop amendments to the Aeronautics Act
providing for voluntary reporting programs
|
Amendments to the Aeronautics Act have been drafted and are on the
federal legislative agenda for 2004.

Implement a Safety Action and Reporting Program
|
A cost analysis of establishing a third party repository responsible for
collecting and analyzing data versus the cost of establishing a Transport
Canada data system is underway.

Track Flight 2005 safety target information
|
The Safety Indicators and Targets Table is a
dynamic document. The 2002 data has been prepared and the information is
posted on the Web. The data for flight hours for the previous calendar
year is not available until the end of the current year; 2003 data will be
available in Spring of 2005.

safety management decisions.
