Guidelines that States can apply to reduce the risk of pandemic influenza being spread through air transport operations have been posted at the ICAO website. (more)

INFORMATION ON THE RESULTS OF ICAO SAFETY OVERSIGHT AUDITS
Based on a recommendation of the Directors General of Civil Aviation Conference on a Global Strategy for Aviation Safety (DGCA/06), a number of ICAO Member States have authorized ICAO to publish information on the result of their safety oversight audit by ICAO. This information is available on the ICAO Flight Safety Information Exchange (FSIX) website.

SECOND AVIATION LANGUAGE SYMPOSIUM (IALS/2)
The Second ICAO Aviation Language Symposium (IALS/2) will be held at the ICAO Headquarters on 7 – 9 May 2007.

WORLDWIDE SYMPOSIUM ON PERFORMANCE OF THE AIR NAVIGATION SYSTEM
A Worldwide Symposium on Performance of the Air Navigation System will be held at the ICAO Headquarters on 26 – 30 March 2007.

ICAO JOURNAL
2006_61_06 No 6, November/December 2006 — Several of the feature articles in this issue are dedicated to the topic of safety management systems, a tool that provides performance-based approaches to the management of safety. Under ICAO provisions that took effect in November 2006, airport operators, aerodrome operators, ATS providers and maintenance organizations worldwide are required to implement such systems.

ICAO eSHOP
ICAO eSHOP is a Web-based information service. This service offers ICAO customers online access to various sets of ICAO documentation for an annual fee. Subscriptions give access to the full texts of International Conventions and Protocols, Annexes to the Convention on International Civil Aviation, documents pertaining to Air Traffic Management and the Annual Reports of the Council.
