After several years in the making, the CARAC Secretariat at Transport Canada Civil Aviation is pleased to announce the introduction of the CARAC NPA System. This system was developed taking into consideration many of the suggestions provided by our aviation stakeholders from both within and outside Transport Canada. This system provides users with the ability to retrieve all information pertaining to a Notice of Proposed Amendment (NPA) and all of its related documentation with minimal searching. The intent is to provide a ‘one-stop shop’ opportunity so that the user can be quickly informed as to the status of a regulatory initiative.

Please note that over the course of the next few months, the existing CARAC activities and all supporting documentation will no longer be updated on the Regulatory Affairs’ current website and will be removed from this site once the new system is fully populated. This will take a few months and will provide ample time for users to get acquainted with the new system before the removal of the current pages. Although not all of the documents will be readily available initially on the new system, the CARAC NPA System will be populated on a daily basis so that over the course of the next few months, all relevant information will be available from one source.

The link to the new database can be found at the following page:

Your continuous input is important to us. Over the course of the next year, Transport Canada will continue to review and determine ways to improve the search capabilities of this system. If at any time you would like to make suggestions, we invite you to go into the CARAC feedback at this following link:
