Governance
The Governance Directorate focuses on intergovernmental relations with self-governing Yukon First
Nations, Indian Act bands and the Yukon Government. It also focuses on providing support for effective
governance institutions. This is a shift from negotiation and program delivery to the implementation
of new governance frameworks from the completion of land claim and self-government agreements.
The current Director of Governance is John Burdek.
