Stephen Rigby

Mr. Rigby is a graduate of Carleton University and began his career with Revenue Canada, Customs and Excise, in 1980. He held a number of senior positions at Revenue Canada, the Canada Customs and Revenue Agency, and the Canada Revenue Agency. These included Director General and subsequently, Assistant Commissioner, Corporate Affairs Branch, Chief Financial Officer and Assistant Commissioner, Finance and Administration Branch, and Assistant Commissioner, Policy and Planning Branch.

On July 4, 2005, Mr. Rigby joined the Privy Council Office as Assistant Secretary to the Cabinet, Security and Intelligence. On May 1, 2006, he also assumed additional responsibilities as Acting National Security Advisor to the Prime Minister.

On May 29, 2006, Mr. Rigby was appointed Executive Vice-President, Canada Border Services Agency, effective June 5, 2006.
