Canada Revenue Agency (CRA)

To register for a business number or a CRA program account, call our toll-free business enquiries line at 1 800 959-5525.

• Hours of service: weekdays from 8:15 a.m. to 8 p.m. (local time)

To print a business registration form, see RC 1 Request for a Business Number. To order a business registration form, call toll-free at 1 800 959-2221.

• Hours of service: weekdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. (Eastern Time)

Once you complete the form, submit it (mail, fax, or visit) to any Tax Services Office.

Situation Unique to Quebec for the Registration of GST/HST Accounts

To register for a GST/HST (goods and services tax/harmonized sales tax) account, if the business's mailing address is in Québec, you must contact the ministère du Revenu du Québec at 1 800 567-4692 or visit the Revenu Québec web site.

Nova Scotia

To request a registration form for participating program accounts, visit the Service Nova Scotia web site or phone:

• within Nova Scotia, toll-free at 1 800 670-4357
• outside Nova Scotia, (902) 424-5200 (long distance charges apply)
