How to authorize or cancel a representative

You can provide us with your consent by one of the following methods:

By Internet
You can authorize, change or view the representatives we have on file for you, using our My Account service. To use the services under My Account, you have to register for a Government of Canada epass that will give you a User ID and password.

Once the online application is complete, your representative will have immediate access to most of the information and services on My Account.

By mail
Send a completed T1013 form, Authorizing or Cancelling a Representative, to the tax centre where you send your tax return. Be sure to complete all sections of the form.
