Investigations Programs

The Leads and Assistance Program follows up on leads provided by concerned citizens. It also co-ordinates the CRA's response to requests for assistance that we receive from other Canadian and international enforcement agencies.

The mandate of the Special Enforcement Program is to conduct audits and undertake other civil enforcement actions on individuals suspected of earning income from illegal activities.

The mandate of the Criminal Investigations Program is to investigate suspected cases of tax evasion, fraud and other serious violations of tax laws.
