New Name for Air Carrier Advisory Circulars
PURPOSE
This Commercial & Business Aviation Advisory Circular (CBAAC) informs
recipients of the recent name change for the former Air Carrier Advisory Circulars
(ACAC).
BACKGROUND
Transport Canada, and in particular, Civil Aviation restructured within the past
year. The former Air Carrier Branch was renamed to Commercial & Business Aviation
to more accurately reflect the clients the Branch serves.
Reflecting the Branch name change, the former Air Carrier Advisory Circulars have
been renamed to Commercial & Business Aviation Advisory Circulars (CBACCs).
CBAACs provide information and guidance material for the use of Canadian and
Foreign Air Operators and their pilots on operational matters when operating in
Canada.
Paper copies of CBAACs are distributed to all holders of Canadian Air Operator
or Private Operator Certificates, unless a smaller, more specific mailing is required.
The recipients must ensure that the information is provided to any employee or
interested party, as required. There are no copyright restrictions.
Current CBAACs are also available at:
http://www.tc.gc.ca/CivilAviation/
commerce/circulars/menu.htm.
CONCLUSION
Any questions or concerns regarding CBAACs should be addressed to the Manager of
Commercial & Business Aviation Issues at 613-991-4743 or the Directors office
at 613-990-1121.

Commercial & Business Aviation Advisory
Circulars (CBAAC) are intended to provide information and guidance regarding
operational matters. A CBAAC may describe an acceptable, but not the only,
means of demonstrating compliance with existing regulations. CBAACs in and of
themselves do not change, create any additional, authorize changes in, or
permit deviations from regulatory requirements. |
