COMMERCIAL AND BUSINESS
AVIATION ADVISORY CIRCULAR
|
|
|
Part VI and VII Regulations Cross-Reference to Aircraft Equipment and
Installations
INTRODUCTION
The purpose of this Commercial and Business Aviation Advisory Circular
(CBAAC) is to provide Air Operators with a quick cross-reference between
Subpart VI and VII equipment regulations and the Airworthiness Standards.
BACKGROUND
Transport Canada often receives queries regarding what standards apply to various
regulations on aircraft equipment in Part VI General Operating and Flight Rules
and Part VII Commercial Air Services of the Canadian Aviations Regulations
(CARs). In an effort to provide a quick cross-reference between the above subparts
of the CARs and Airworthiness Manual a table has been produced. The attached
table is provided as a quick reference to determine the airworthiness standards which
apply to various equipment regulations of Subparts VI and VII of the CARs. The
Airworthiness Manual is the document which provides the airworthiness
standards on all aircraft equipment. The website for the Airworthiness Manual
is http://www.tc.gc.ca/CivilAviation/
maintenance/regsdocs/menu.htm.
CONCLUSION
The cross-reference between equipment regulations and airworthiness standards
should be of some value to all Air Operators.

Circulars (CBAAC) are intended to provide information and guidance
regarding operational matters. A CBAAC may describe an acceptable, but
not the only, means of demonstrating compliance with existing
regulations. CBAACs in and of themselves do not change, create any
additional, authorize changes in, or permit deviations from regulatory
requirements. CBAACs are available electronically on the TC Web site,
at: www.tc.gc.ca/civilaviation/commerce/circulars/menu.htm. |
