Customs Internet GatewayThe Customs Internet Gateway (CIG) was initiated to give CBSA trading partners an alternative delivery channel for the transmission of cargo, release, and accounting data. Using a public key infrastructure, CBSA trading partners will be able to send and receive data over the Internet. Medium-level assurance certificates will be issued by the CCRA Certification Authority (CA) to each trading partner wishing to use the electronic transactions methods. RequirementsTo register for the Customs Internet Gateway, participants must first become CCRA PKI subscribers. To register as a subscriber, each participant requires the following: Participant Requirements Document Organization Agreement The Organization Agreement must be signed by a senior official of the organization who has the authority to bind the organization. It details the terms and conditions relating to PKI participation, as well as the responsibilities of the organization. It also identifies those individuals appointed to receive and manage digital certificates. Subscriber Agreement Subscriber Application Form (RC129) (CRA) Software Two software packages are required; an Entrust enabled package and a CIG client.
