An organization established to hold periodic fundraisers (e.g., mail campaigns, golf tournaments, variety shows, antique shows and planned giving programs) can qualify for registration as a charity. The organization must demonstrate that the fundraiser is a means of raising funds for their charitable purposes and not an end in itself.
