Policy Statement

An organization established to promote holistic medicine (i.e., fringe healing) can qualify for registration as a charity under the following category of charitable purposes: other purposes beneficial to the community in a way the law regards as charitable. The organization must demonstrate that the effectiveness of the method used (e.g., acupuncture, osteopathy and faith healing) is well recognized or provide evidence that the medical profession accepts the method used.
