Examples

Plastics companies have provided the following examples to their sector industry committee, many based on projects in their actual claims. These examples were provided to facilitate discussion and to help establish a common understanding of the technological aspects of typical SR&ED projects in this industry sector.

You can view this document in the following formats:

The list of topics covered is not exhaustive. The examples are intended to illustrate how the technical material might be presented. As the discussions that occurred during the preparation of this material showed, there is no single unique way to present the material in a claim.

These examples do not attempt to demonstrate:

  • How to maintain internal company technical documentation for SR&ED projects, or
  • How to deal with financial eligibility issues in SR&ED projects

For detailed SR&ED project documentation requirements and for the expenditure rules, please consult the extensive reference material available on this CRA SR&ED Web site.

If you need assistance, our help file explains how to use various file formats available.
