The NEXUS Marine Pilot Project

The NEXUS Marine pilot project is a recreational boat reporting initiative to facilitate border crossings for pre-approved, low-risk participants.

NEXUS Marine provides Canadian and American recreational boaters the opportunity to clear customs and immigration of either country by contacting the Telephone Reporting Centre (TRC) within 30 minutes and up to 4 hours prior to arrival.

The pilot project will be implemented in the St. Clair/Lake Erie area from May 18 to October 31, 2006.

The NEXUS Marine pilot project is an extension of the NEXUS Highway program. Existing NEXUS Highway members are automatically approved as participants in NEXUS Marine and new NEXUS Marine members will be automatically enrolled in NEXUS Highway.
