Canada Border Service Agency (CBSA) employees are committed people with a big job. CBSA employees contribute to safer homes and streets and a healthier environment. They also help administer trade legislation and ensure that international trade agreements are upheld, thereby assisting the competitiveness of Canadian businesses.

Careers at the CBSA are wide and varied. The importance of this work cannot be over-emphasized given that each year Canada welcomes, on average, 220,778 immigrants and refugees, has more than 100 million travellers entering the country, processes over 8 million commercial importations, and has import and export requirements for some 30,000 wild animals, fish, and plants.
