• Canadian Food Inspection Agency - Automated Import Reference System (AIRS) The purpose of the AIRS is to provide accurate and timely information on import requirements. The application uses a question and answer approach to guide the user through a series of questions about the Harmonized System (HS) Codes, origin, destination, end use and miscellaneous qualifiers of the product they wish to import.

• Canadian Importers Database provides lists of companies importing goods into Canada, by product, by city and by country of origin.

• Environment Canada - Ozone Depleting Substances Regulations Since 1989, Canada has adopted Regulations to control the import, manufacture, use, sale, and export of ozone-depleting substances (ODS) and amend the list of toxic substances in Schedule 1 of Canadian Environmental Protection Act (CEPA). They also require that permits be obtained to import or export used, recovered, recycled and reclaimed ODS.

• The Export and Import Controls Bureau (EICB) authorizes, under the discretion of the Minister of Foreign Affairs, the import and export of goods restricted by quotas and/or tariffs. It also monitors the trade in certain goods and ensures the personal security of Canadians and citizens of other countries by restricting trade in dangerous goods and other materials.

• Natural Resources Canada - Explosives Regulatory Division The Explosives Regulatory Division (ERD) is responsible for administering Canada's Explosives Act and Regulations. ERD provides service and support to all facets of the explosives industry for manufacturers, importers, distributors and users of blasting explosives, pyrotechnics, fireworks, ammunition, propellant powders, toy pistol caps, and other safety-oriented types of explosives.
