The Aboriginal Awareness workshops were developed for employees of Indian and Northern Affairs Canada ( INAC) and are designed to be held in Aboriginal communities across Canada.

This publication provides concise explanations of the cultures, history, politics and contemporary issues related to Aboriginal Peoples in Canada. The research and writing of the workbook were undertaken by an Aboriginal contractor on behalf of INAC. Also included is an essential glossary of terms.

Find answers to basic questions such as Who are Aboriginal Peoples? What is a Treaty? and What is Aboriginal Government? There is a useful reference section with bibliographies on various topics and recommendations for films, videos and websites.

(At the time of kit distribution, French copies were limited and were only included in some of the kits. The French workbooks will be reprinted and may be ordered from the same address)

Inuit Art Foundation

Beautifully designed information package with information inserts describing the Foundation and the services, programs and grants it offers. The foundation's mandate is to assist Inuit artists in the development of their professional skills and in the marketing and promotion of their art. The Inuit Art Quarterly (IAQ) is the main activity of the communications department and serves as a promotional tool. See next item for further information on IAQ.
