The seminar focuses on:

• Starting your business-record keeping, fiscal periods, accounting methods
• Rights and obligations-payments of taxes, audits, appeals, fairness provisions
• Income and expenses-types of income, capital vs. operating expenses, capital cost allowance

Other topics covered:

• The CRA's roles and responsibilities
• The CRA and other Government of Canada departments' services available to small businesses
