Working Holiday Program - United Kingdom

Come to the United Kingdom for an extended holiday and leave with the experience of a lifetime! This special program helps you fund your travels in the United Kingdom by enabling you to work temporarily to cover your travel expenses. Jobs are usually available in shops, offices, pubs, restaurants, hotels and much more.

Duration

Up to 12 months

Target Audience

Must be a Commonwealth citizen, British Overseas Territories citizen, British National Overseas citizen or British Overseas citizen;
Between the ages of 17-27;
Coming to the UK for an extended holiday and intending to take some incidental employment;
Single or are married to a person who also qualifies as a working holidaymaker and plan to take the working holiday together;
Do not have any dependent children who are aged five years or over, or who will be five before you complete your holiday;
Able to support and accommodate yourself without help from public funds;
Do not have any commitments which require a regular salary;
Plan to leave the UK at the end of your holiday.

Funding

The participant will be responsible for:
Travel, food and accommodation costs;
If you are not covered by an international insurance plan for medical and hospital expenses, you must join a group insurance plan or take out individual insurance before you leave.

Candidates may apply through the Student Work Abroad Program (SWAP);
SWAP's partner organization in the UK is BUNAC.
