The following services are available from Kelowna, Richmond, Prince George and Victoria:
- Approve Aircraft Maintenance Engineer licensing applications,
administer exams, and issue temporary licenses and endorsements
- Issue Certificates of Airworthiness, Flight Permits, Foreign
Flight Permit Validations
- Review and approve of Maintenance Control Manuals and
Maintenance Procedures Manuals for Approved Maintenance Organizations and Air Operators
- Export (and in some cases import) inspection and certification of aircraft and
components
- Approve initial and amended maintenance schedules
- Inspect and audit companies and aircraft - both local and
foreign
- Work with industry and the public towards a better understanding of aviation safety requirements
- Investigate possible violations and respond to public
complaints regarding aviation activities
- Accept payment of fees (flight permits, AME Licenses,
certificates of airworthiness, etc.)
- Provide application forms for a variety of government services
In addition to the above services, Abbotsford
provides these services:
- Access to system safety videos and safety publications
- Advice for Company Aviation Safety Officer
- Presentation of safety seminars in the boardroom
