This working document is the result of contributions from many people who are concerned about the lack of food security in Canada. Co-op students worked on the project during the years 1999-2001. The team working on the National Population Health Survey at Statistics Canada worked in close cooperation with the Applied Research Branch at Human Resources Development Canada. The draft framework was reviewed by about thirty people in Canada and a few in the United States.
