Direct deposit

Did you know you could have your GST/HST refunds and rebates deposited directly into your bank account? Direct deposit is a safe, convenient, dependable, and timesaving way to receive your GST/HST refund and rebate payments.

Direct deposit is completely confidential. Direct deposit payments are less likely to be lost, stolen, or damaged as may happen with cheques.

Funds for a direct deposit payment will be available in your bank account on the same day that we would have mailed your cheque.

This is a one-time application. Your request for direct deposit will remain in effect until you file a new form. The bank account you identify has to hold Canadian funds at a financial institution in Canada.

Here is how you can arrange direct deposit:

By mail

In person

You can drop off your completed GST469 directly at a tax services office.

By phone

You can call 1-800-959-5525 if you need help to complete the direct deposit information, or to cancel the direct deposit service.
